CASE SUMMARY: Industrial Client saves $135K per year in energy costs, Gains EPA air quality compliance, and reduces maintenance costs annually by $25,000.
An industrial client was using 5 diesel generators to power their operation. The customer was also under pressure by the EPA to reduce their air quality emissions and to comply with new standards for permanent diesel generators. This stringent requirement was forcing the customer to physically move their plant offsite for 2 months of the year each year under enormous expense. Working with the utility we were able to negotiate an extension of the existing power line to the property and combine the 5 electrical loads onto one meter. Doing so allowed the client to meet the stringent EPA requirements allowing them to remain onsite year-round.
